QA-Team

The QA Team benefits from the Internet of Things with Quality Management.

Tracking the quality of production is easy with ei3’s Quality Management app.  This cloud application helps manufacturers increase yield by analyzing manual and online test results to determine quality trends.  If test results trend out of control, then Quality Management proactively alerts operators to take corrective actions before waste is made.  Quality Management coordinates the workflow and details around specifying, capturing, analyzing and reporting test results for every job made by a machine.  Quality Management is fully integrated with other ei3 applications.  Adding test results to ei3’s rich set of machine performance data creates a comprehensive solution that helps manage machines and the quality of the things they produce.

Quality Management is an extension of ei3’s Industrial IoT suite for the manufacturing plant.  Like all other ei3 applications,  Quality Management is provided to machine owners and operators for a monthly subscription fee.  The application generates a strong return on investment with a demonstrated ability to improve yield, save labor, and automatically issue reports.  Getting started is easy because the app is securely hosted in the cloud.

QM-Functions

Quality Management coordinates off line quality assurance tests by using web pages that present tests questions to machine operators and QA techs at just the right times.  These testing sequences are designed and configured by Quality Administrators who use eiweb pages to define specifications, tests, testing frequencies, SOP documents, responses and other aspects of the QA process.  When jobs  are loaded onto a machine, the correct sequence and quality forms are automatically loaded for display.  Operators and QA technicians perform tests and report results using Quality Management web pages.   While the job is running and the product quality is being tested, Quality Management is checking critical points for compliance and if values or not correct, then alerts are dispatched to inform operators that something needs to be done.  Once a job is finished, Quality Management produces a variety of reports to maintain an audit record and share QA information with the customer of produced materials.

Features

Status Dashboard Show the quality of a production runs.  With @-a-glance dynamic elements showing results for each and every test.
Test Management Guide Testers and Operators through specified tests according to defined schedules based on time, production, or other variables.  Display results and manage disposition of delayed tests.
Alerts / Notifications Receive emails and text messages when critical parameters stray outside of specification limits.
SOP Documents Provide Documents to the testers to inform about corrective actions to be taken if test results are in certain tolerances.
Feedback Tracking Provides a place for operators & testers to make notes that can becomes a part of the permanent record.
Pp PpK Cp CpK Provides the analytics and statistics needed to fully understand machine and process capabilities.
COA Report A highly configurable report providing automatic COAs to be made for each and every job.
Linked with other ei3 Applications Quality results and reports are linked to other ei3 application modules that track machines, jobs, recipes, tools and other measured data.

Machines that are online with an ei3 subscription can easily add Quality Management.   There are training programs for administrators and operators to accelerate deployment on the plant floor. ei3 also offers configuration services to help get started quickly.  To exchange data with your business system you can use the ei3 RESTful API or customer development services can build a custom data links.
