Companies that build or own complex machines are challenged to allow technicians access while maintaining integrity of their network. In response, ei3 provides Secure Access Control, it’s a hosted application providing a security platform that enables an authorized person to deliver skills to an individual machine completely under the control of the machine owner.  Secure Access Control gives manufacturers and service providers a secure way to take advantage of the benefits of remote service.

Secure Access Control is a web application hosted on ei3‘s private cloud.   It enables technical support service providers and other users to connect to remote equipment safely and securely from any location. Equipment owners use Secure Access Control to create, manage, and distribute access security tokens or “keys” to designated support professionals.  Access to equipment is controlled by ei3‘s security server thereby enabling granular control for individuals and machines.

No additional VPN software or training of service personnel is required, since they use a standard web browser and the same control software they would on-site to provide technical machine support. Reports are provided to audit access to equipment, facilitate system management, measure user activity, network status, and provide remote troubleshooting summaries.
