ei3 is proud to be one of the sponsors for the Hilton Worldwide EMEA Chief Engineer’s conference taking place from February 3rd through 5th, 2015 at the beautiful new Hilton Istanbul Bomonti. ei3 will be present at the LightStay booth in the exhibition area along with Hilton Worldwide sustainability personnel to provide demonstrations and answer questions.
LightStay is Hilton Worldwide’s sustainability improvement methodology. At the conference, a new version of LightStay will be introduced that has improved tools for analysis of sustainability factors normalized for the weather, occupancy, and property features. Using a continuous improvement process of Measure, Report, Learn and Improve, the LightStay web application gathers consumption data and reports on sustainability. Today, LightStay has a reviewed and accurate compilation of data for more than 4200 properties in 94 countries and 18,000 improvement projects. On the afternoon of the first day of the conference, ei3 will present the new LightStay features in the break-out sessions at the Interactive Zones.
At this conference, ei3 will be introducing a new monitoring tool called MAVIN, an add-on package that brings real-time monitoring and alerting to LightStay. MAVIN, which stands for Monitor, Alert, and View Information, takes an innovative Internet of Things (IoT) approach to enable real-time monitoring and alerting of energy and water consumption. By using a powerful web standards-based API, MAVIN is able to accept data from building management systems, utility companies, smart meters, or local equipment at the property.
For properties that don’t have electronic metering, ei3 provides a device called the MAVIN box that works with meter upgrade kits to take pulses from utility meters and send them to the MAVIN server in the cloud. Alerts are dispatched as emails and text messages. MAVIN data can be displayed through LightStay or on custom web pages using gadgets and the MAVIN display API.
