On September 11, 2012, at the Sustainable Packaging Coalition's fall meeting, the founder and CEO of ei³, Spencer Cramer, presented on the topic of using remote monitoring and cloud applications for measuring and reporting Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions.

For years, global enterprises have effectively utilized the ei³ remote monitoring cloud for real-time monitoring of equipment energy consumption and resource use. This remotely acquired data is analyzed alongside measured machine production results to derive precise CO2 emissions figures per unit of production.
